This page describes how the Precimotion website is managed with respect to the processing of personal data of users who visit it, request product materials, or contact us.
This notice is provided pursuant to Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 ("EU GDPR"), the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 ("UK GDPR"), and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection ("FADP"), for individuals who interact with our web services from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland respectively. Where this policy refers generally to "GDPR," it means EU GDPR unless the context (or Section 13) specifies UK GDPR or the Swiss FADP. It applies only to this website and not to other sites that may be reached via links.
By using our website and submitting personal data through our forms, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required as a legal basis, we will ask for it explicitly at the point of collection.

Precimotion S.L. is established in Spain and is therefore directly subject to the EU GDPR as an EU-established controller. No Article 27 GDPR representative is required, as that obligation applies only to controllers established outside the EEA. Individuals and supervisory authorities in the UK and Switzerland may contact us directly using the details in Section 2; where our processing activities meet the thresholds under Article 27 UK GDPR or Article 14 FADP, we will appoint a representative in that territory and update this section accordingly.
3. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy covers personal data processed when you:
- Browse or use our website
- Request a product catalogue (email delivery)
- Request technical drawings or CAD-related materials
- Submit a quote request or contact form
- Subscribe to our newsletter or product updates (if offered)
- Communicate with us by email or telephone using details published on this site
We do not operate customer login accounts or user registration on this website. Access to catalogues and drawings is handled through email-based requests, not through password-protected user profiles.
4. Categories of data we collect
4.1 Navigation data. The IT systems that operate this website automatically acquire certain data whose transmission is implicit in Internet communication protocols. This may include IP address, browser type, device and operating system information, referring URLs, pages visited, timestamps, and similar technical logs. Where analytics or advertising tools are enabled (including Google services), related identifiers such as cookie IDs or device identifiers may also be processed. These data are not collected to identify you directly, but could allow identification if combined with other information held by third parties. We use them to operate and secure the site, produce usage statistics, measure advertising performance where applicable, and investigate abuse or security incidents.
4.2 Data you provide voluntarily. When you use our forms or email us, we may collect:
- Name and company name
- Email address and telephone number
- Product or service of interest, budget range, and message / requirements
- For catalogue requests: email address (and any optional fields shown on the form)
- For drawing requests: email address and related request details so we can identify who requested drawings and fulfil the request
4.3 Data we do not seek. We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or political data) through this website. Please do not include such information in free-text fields.
5. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data only where a lawful basis applies under EU GDPR Art. 6 (and, where applicable, the equivalent bases under UK GDPR and the FADP's lawfulness principles):
- Performance of a request / steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): responding to quote requests, contact inquiries, catalogue delivery, and drawing requests that you initiate.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): operating, securing, and improving the website; understanding which products and drawings are requested; preventing fraud and misuse; basic B2B relationship management related to your inquiry. We balance these interests against your rights and expectations.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): where required for optional marketing emails, non-essential cookies (including analytics and advertising / remarketing cookies), and related Google measurement or advertising features where enabled. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): where we must retain or disclose data to comply with applicable law.
Providing data marked as required on a form is necessary for us to fulfil that request. Failure to provide required data may make it impossible to send a catalogue, share drawings, or respond to a quote.
Marketing communications and ePrivacy.Where we send marketing or promotional emails beyond fulfilling a specific catalogue, drawing, or quote request, this is governed separately by the EU ePrivacy Directive (as implemented in relevant member states), the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and, for Spain specifically, the LSSI-CE (see Section 16a below). We will only send such communications with your consent, or in reliance on the narrow "soft opt-in" exception for existing customers where permitted, and you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us.
Automated decision-making. We do not use your personal data to make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Advertising personalisation and remarketing (Section 8) may involve automated targeting of ad content, but do not result in automated decisions of this kind about you.
6. Catalogue and drawing requests
6.1 Product catalogue. If you request a catalogue, we collect your email address (and any other fields shown) so that our systems can send the catalogue to you, typically by automated email shortly after your request. We store the request record to confirm delivery, prevent abuse, and support follow-up if the file does not arrive.
6.2 Technical drawings. If you request drawings (for example CAD or dimension files), we collect and store your email address and request details so we know who asked for drawings, can deliver them, and can contact you about the specific files or related product support. Drawing requests are fulfilled on the basis of your request; they are not tied to a login account.
6.3 Backend processing. Catalogue and drawing workflows may be handled by our internal systems and trusted service providers (for example email delivery infrastructure). Those providers act under our instructions, are bound by a data processing agreement consistent with Art. 28 GDPR, and are required to protect your data. See Section 9.
We do not sell your email address. We do not use catalogue or drawing request data to create a public profile. Optional marketing after a request is sent only where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent.
7. No user accounts or logins
This website does not provide registered user accounts, passwords, or customer portals. You do not need to create a login to browse products. Catalogue and drawing access is request-based via email. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any additional notice required by law.
10. International transfers
Precimotion S.L. is established in Spain. We may engage service providers and processors located outside the EEA (for example, group entities in India, or global providers such as Google) to support our operations. Personal data you submit may therefore be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EEA in connection with those processing activities. Personal data you submit may therefore be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland. Transfers may also occur when data is processed by providers such as Google that operate globally.
Where EU GDPR applies to a transfer of personal data from the EEA to a country without an adequacy decision, we implement appropriate safeguards as required by Articles 46, 47, or 49 GDPR (for example Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfers necessary to perform your request). Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another lawful UK transfer mechanism. Where the Swiss FADP applies, we rely on the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner's recognised transfer mechanisms, including the Swiss-adapted version of the Standard Contractual Clauses. Copies of the applicable safeguards are available upon request. You may contact us for more information about the safeguards in place.
11. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described, including:
- Catalogue and drawing requests: for the time needed to deliver the material, handle support follow-ups, and maintain a record of who requested which files, then for a limited period consistent with our legitimate interests and applicable limitation periods (typically up to 24 months unless a longer period is required for an ongoing commercial discussion or legal obligation).
- Quote and contact inquiries: for the duration of the inquiry and any resulting business relationship, plus any period required by tax, accounting, or other law.
- Newsletter / marketing (if consented): until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
- Technical logs: for short periods needed for security and diagnostics, unless a longer period is needed to investigate an incident.
When retention ends, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the data, unless law requires otherwise.
12. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Transmission of forms over our website is protected using HTTPS encryption where the site is served securely.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong unique password for your email account, since catalogue and drawing delivery typically occurs by email.
13. Your rights
If EU GDPR applies to you (broadly, if you are located in the EEA), you have the right to request access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your EU/EEA member state of residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement — for residents of Spain, this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan, 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es.
If UK GDPR applies to you (broadly, if you are located in the UK), you have the same set of rights described above under the UK regime, and may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF, United Kingdom, www.ico.org.uk.
If the Swiss FADP applies to you (broadly, if you are located in Switzerland), you have a broadly equivalent set of rights under Swiss law, and may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland, www.edoeb.admin.ch.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@precimotion.eu or by post at the address in Section 2. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will respond within one month of receiving a valid request, extendable by a further two months where necessary given the complexity or number of requests, in which case we will inform you of the extension and the reasons for it within the first month.
14. Data Protection Officer
Precimotion has assessed whether a Data Protection Officer (DPO) is required under Art. 37 GDPR. We are not required to appoint a DPO because our core activities do not involve large-scale, regular, and systematic monitoring of individuals, or large-scale processing of special categories of data, and have therefore not appointed one. This assessment will be revisited if the nature or scale of our processing changes.
15. Children
This website is intended for business and professional users and is not directed at children under 16 (or the higher age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy notices before providing personal data.
16a. Spain — Commercial electronic communications (LSSI-CE)
In addition to the GDPR, the Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce ("LSSI-CE") governs commercial electronic communications sent by Precimotion S.L. to individuals in Spain. Under Article 21 LSSI-CE:
- We will only send commercial or promotional communications by email or equivalent electronic means if you have given prior consent, or where the narrow "soft opt-in" exception applies (you are an existing customer, the communication concerns similar products or services, and you were given the opportunity to opt out at the time your data was collected and in each subsequent communication).
- Every commercial communication will clearly identify itself as advertising or promotional content and will identify Precimotion S.L. as the sender.
- You may withdraw consent or object to receiving further commercial communications at any time, free of charge, using the unsubscribe link included in the communication or by contacting us at the details in Section 18. We will process opt-out requests without delay.
17. Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be highlighted on the website or communicated where appropriate.
